The captain of this exclusive yacht is delighted to share this experience with you to offer private sailing charters in The Hamptons during the summer months- from Memorial Day Weekend through mid-September.
From the South of France to the Hamptons, Kelpie has hosted generations of the world’s elite. From competing in regattas among the finest yachts in the world to leisurely afternoon sails and anchoring off secluded islands, she counts noted luminaries, such as the late Elizabeth Taylor, among her past guests.
Join us with up to 24 guests for a half day, full day or sunset sail through the Hamptons waterway. Experience Le Launch, as our private tender greets you at the Breakwater Yacht Club with a glass of rosé for the journey to Kelpie‘s anchorage.
Charter Options
Kelpie offers several packages – simply choose whichever suits you best and how long you would like to sail, for 2.5-hour, 4-hour, 6-hour, or 8-hour.
- Brunch Sail – having been conveyed from the shore to the yacht by classic launch, arrive to a decadant spread on board Kelpie in the morning sun, followed by a dreamy sail through the Shelter Island Sound.
- Half Day – sail Shelter Island and discover a beautiful anchorage for lunch on board.
- Full Day – explore more of Shelter Island and drop anchor for lunch on board Kelpie – you can even go swimming, or simply take advantage of a longer sailing cruise. There is also the option to have lunch ashore at Sunset Beach.
- Sunset Sail– enjoy a beautiful sunset cruise with light bites and sundowners – the perfect prelude to your dinner reservation back in Sag Harbor.

Provisions
While you’re welcome to bring anything you’d like for provisions, Kelpie offers exclusive gourmet menus of caviar, fine cheeses, and also sushi prepared onboard by Sen’s very own sushi chef.
Upon booking, we will assist in menu preparations whether it be to arrange for private chef services, pass-around hors d’oeuvres or a simple BYO spread.

Return Service from Sunset Beach
For guests wishing to end their half-day sail at Sunset Beach, we offer a variety of services to return you to Sag Harbor: private car service, a chauffeur to deliver your own car to Sunset Beach from Sag Harbor, or Le Launch‘s private passage by sea.
